Tiling painting, Ceramulite, Hardiglaze and Seratone and many more options are available today to brighten up your bathroom. Taking time to discuss layout options, ventiliation, lighting and product choices will create the best results .
Flat-pack, modular or designer made kitchens all require the same basic pre-installation work. Plumbing, electrical, gas, waterproofing, insulation, linings, plastering, painting and decorating, tiling and floor coverings involve many trades in a confined space. With our time management and organizational skills we can make this a less arduous experience and ensure minimal delays in the course of the project.
Our focus is outcome and customer satisfaction but the latter depends very much on the former. Attention to detail, water tightness and timeliness are essential in the smooth running of a kitchen or bathroom project as many trades are involved in the process.
Removal of walls
Want a wall removed? Need more light or flow? Opening up the layout of your house?
More and more alterations include the removal of existing walls, load bearing or non-load bearing. Do you know which walls are load bearing?
We can assist you with identifying walls which are or are not load bearing and the requirements if you intend to remove them. It is easy to remove a wall but if support structures are not in place to take the loads bearing on the wall, the consequences can be disasterous and costly. We have experience in removing walls and installing supporting structures in their stead, whether requiring a Specific Design by an Engineer or simply to comply with the New Zealand Building Standards. Often the work will require a Building Consent and an eventual certificate of Compliance. We can help you to obtain the Building Consent by assisting you through the process to make the project a real proposition.
Garage too small, derilect or unsightly, or worse, non-existent?
We build garages from the slab up. Vehicles are wider and storage is golden. Maybe you require a wet area, external toilet or office. Garages offer may user options and we would be happy to assist you through all stages from planning, Building Consent applications, and construction. Whether you want a garage attached to your house with internal access or a detached utility garage and lock-up on the property, we can build it for you. The beauty of building a garage is it generally does not adversely affect your day to day living and operations during it’s construction
If you require an extra bedroom or other room the options usually involve dividing up the existing space or adding to the overall size of your house. We have experience in constructing additions to accommodate extra bedrooms and wardrobes and also in dividing large areas to create extra rooms. Making the addition look like it is not an addition or after-thought requires skill and an eye for detail and balance. Our forte is additions and alterations and particularly we enjoy work on 1920 to 1970 houses due to the types of cladding and the styles these houses presented which identified with the era in which they were constructed.
Why not add an en-suite? Many alterations we undertake include the upgrade or construction of a bathroom or en-suite. Ensuites can accommodate the essentials of a main bathroom within a smaller area if space is limited, through to being a full sized bathroom accessed from the bedroom. Some will have more than one entry or may be set behind a walk-through wardrobe. We can assist you through all the stages from planning, Building Consent applications and construction to ensure you get the en-suite you want and can afford.
